During the week of #WorldEnvironmentDay, we celebrate our progress towards a circular economy for plastic packaging. Our members have already reduced consumption or distribution of problematic and unnecessary plastics by over 50 million items,
Even though our plastic problem feels enormous, our actions can and do matter and small steps DO SHIFT SYSTEMS.
Here are some steps that consumers can take:
- Reduce your consumption;
- Make use of reusable items, like coffee cups, tupperware, refill bottles etc;
- Choose products with recyclable packaging;
- Avoid unnecessary and problematic plastics
