The SA Plastics Pact is a voluntary, collaborative Pact made up of business and supporting member organisations that are pioneering the drive to a circular economy for plastic packaging. Business members represent the all components of the plastic packaging value chain and are those organisations that place plastics on the market. They include resin producers, packaging manufacturers, brand owners, and retailers, informal collectors and recyclers. Supporting members include government institutions, producer responsibility organisations, industry bodies, an academic institution, and NGOs.
One of the earliest actions of the members was to strategise and complete the Roadmap to 2025 (click the adjacent image to download) which outlines the key activities and key outcomes to be achieved as our members continue the journey to achieving our four ambitious 2025 targets.
